Don't forget to tell the bank!

John had to go to the bank today, so I suggested that he should check whether the bank needs to know that we're going overseas. A wise thought, I discovered!! It seems that when the bank starts to see transactions taking place overseas, they try to contact us, and if they can't they'll put a block on the credit card. Lucky we sorted that one out!!
4 more sleeps to go! The weather isn't looking too scooter-friendly in Osaka yet, but it's still a week till we're scootering so hopefully the temperature will struggle upwards a bit more by then.

I went back to Japanese classes last night and discovered that I haven't quite forgotten everything I've learned. We'll see what happens when I actually say something in Japanese to a Japanese person. I'm sure they'll be highly amused!
I finished the house-sitter's 'user manual' today, so she'll know how the washing machine works and which buttons to push to make the set-top box work, etc. I'm hoping these instructions will have lots of use in the future as we roam around the world on two wheels.
